Good news - our Children’s Ministry is growing!

Our Sparks and Ignite groups meet in the halls on the third and fourth Sundays of the month. Sparks (Reception to Lower Key Stage 2) and Ignite (Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3) kick-off their session together with games, refreshments and a captivating story before breaking into their separate groups for a wide variety of fun and engaging activities. From praise to prayer and crafts to conversation, there's something for every child to enjoy and learn from. Registration is at 10:20 and children are collected when the 10:30am worship ends.
For younger children, our Little Lights group meets in the chapel on the third Sunday of the month at the same time as the 10:30am worship. Little Lights welcomes children from birth to pre-school, accompanied by a parent or carer, and aims to get everyone involved in a fun-filled and relaxed session.
For those who love to worship as a family, we have all-age worship on the second Sunday of the month and on the remaining weeks we have activities for school-age children in the chapel and a space for younger children at the back of the church.
Our children's ministry follows the same Bible theme as the adults in the 10:30am worship, so you can rest assured that your child is learning and growing in their faith alongside you.
At St Barnabas, we also have very close links with the schools in the community. Our popular Open the Book team go into schools on a regular basis to share stories from the bible with the children and staff at our local schools. Our children and young people have also had the chance to further explore their faith and their relationship with God at events such as Spree and New Wine.
