The Halls
St Barnabas Church was originally a church plant over the road in what is now our Church Halls. Dating back to 1922, the halls retain much of their historic features but have also been renovated over the years. With access to a kitchen, two car parks and accessible toilets, the halls are well used by private bookings, community events and regular clubs and societies. The halls are very much a part of the church's history and the local community. We try to keep our prices as low as possible but we do need to make sure we can cover the heating bill!

The Lambert Hall
The largest of the halls, Lambert Hall is named after Rev Lambert who was the incumbent at the time the main church was built. The hall has beautiful wooden arches and pillars throughout and most of the features are original (with some upgrades!).
The Lambert Hall has its own entrance and access to toilets and a full functioning kitchen. It also has a stage with curtains and stage lighting. The hall could be used for parties, wedding receptions, performances, art exhibitions or for local businesses and groups to name a few. Due to its ceiling height of around 25ft, it can also hold a bouncy castle for children's parties!

The Martin Hall
The Martin Hall used to be Tuffley School, which was closed in 1881 and then declared as a church dedicated to St Barnabas. The Martin Hall has its own entrance and access to the kitchen and toilets. It is an open space with wood flooring, suitable for smaller groups, meetings or away days. Its position adjacent to the Lambert Hall means it could easily be used as a "green room" if you were having a performance. There are also ballet bars situated around the room, so if you are a dance teacher this is a great venue for you!

The Jordan Lounge
The Lounge offers a more intimate and comfortable space and could be used for counselling and one to one sessions, executive and smaller meetings, group training , interviews or just a coffee and natter with friends. The Jordan Lounge is commonly hired alongside one of our other halls.
